Summer may not be here officially, but we're not letting that stop us from having a little bit of summer fun. I mean, when the temperature rises to 90 degrees, I think we can all agree that we've got some summer weather.
And summer with this boy looks like it's going to be way too much fun! Last year, he was still pretty little and just becoming mobile, so we didn't get out much. But this year? Let's just say it's a good thing I found a good deal on sunscreen. And I don't think Cohen would have it any other way, either. The boy loves being outside. Playing in water. Running barefoot in the grass. Eating popsicles. We're talking pure joy for my little guy.
We spent Memorial Day weekend at my parents' house doing summer stuff: grilling out, eating watermelon, spending the day in our bathing suits. We had originally planned to spend the weekend at the pool, and I was so excited to see Cohen's reaction to the neighborhood's kiddie pool complete with fountains and buckets dumping water. But within 2 minutes of playing in the 1 foot deep water, Cohen fell over and went face-first into the water. It was enough to convince him that the pool wasn't his thing. At least not this week.
So we headed home and enjoyed a sprinkler instead. And that little sprinkler, that was very much his thing.
A great start to the summer!
